The man who wants a beautiful garden,
Or small or very big,
With flowers growing here and there,
Must bend his back and dig.

The mighty things are few on earth,
That wishes can obtain,
Whatever we want of any worth,
We've got to work to gain.

It matters not what goal you seek,
Its secret here reposes:
You've got to dig from week to week,
To get results and roses.

要是你想有个美丽的花园，
不管它很大还是很小，
要想园中这里那里都长满鲜花，
那你就得弯腰勤除草。

世上美好的东西确实少，
不是你想要就能得到，
任何值得我们要的东西，
我们要得到它都必须付出辛劳。

不管你追求的目标是什么，
它的秘密都在这里寄托：
你必须每周都要勤劳作，
才能得到结果和玫瑰。
