如果你穿着学生装在商场里看钻石首饰，营业员基本不会过来跟你搭话，因为她知道你根本买不起。虽然家长和老师一直教育我们不要以貌取人，但是真正做到却很不容易。“以貌取人”在英语中就叫做“judge a book by its cover”。

“Judge a book by its cover”的字面意思是“只看书皮就评价一本书”。人的外貌和穿着就好比书的封皮，封皮普通不意味着内容一般，长相和穿着好看同样也不等于人很善良。
