　　词组beat about／around the bush，本意是，拨开灌木丛（以寻觅猎物），引申为“转弯抹角地谈话，旁敲侧击，不着正题”（refuse to come to the point when speaking about a subject）。
　　再如:
　　Instead of answering my question he began to beat about the bush.
　　他不回答我的问题而是在不着边际地兜圈子。
　　Don't beat about the bush. Come straight to the point.
　　不要绕圈子，直截了当地说吧。

掉到地上的食物  3秒内还能吃

DON'T BEAT ABOUT THE BUS ANY MORE.BEAT ABOUT MEANS REFUSE TO COME TO THE POINT WHEN SPEAKING ABOUT A SUBJECT.FOR INSTANCE,INSTEAD OF ANSWERING MY QUESTION HE BEGAN TO BEAT ABOUT THE BUSH,ANOTHER SENTENCE,DON'T BEAT ABOUT THE BUSH.COME STRAIGHT TO THE POINT.LOL
